“Chester pleases my fancy more than any town I ever saw………” Boswell 1779. (Letters to Dr. Johnson). The Queen is a splendid, grand marque, 4 star hotel dating back to 1860. In its beautiful Grade II listed building, it combines elegant tradition and history with contemporary design and individual hotel services.

In its time, it has welcomed illustrious visitors such as Charles Dickens, Cecil Rhodes and Lily Langtry. Situated opposite the mainline railway station in the heart of the city, The Queen is part of the award winning Feathers Hotel Group and has undergone a recent multi-million pound refurbishment.

Wonderfully located, only minutes away from the shopping and cultural attractions of Roman Chester, the Queen is easily accessible from the M53, M56 and M6 motorways. Nearby is Chester Zoo and Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village. The cuisine is modern British style using locally sourced ingredients. There are facilities as diverse as free internet connection and landscaped gardens. In the bedrooms, there are multi-channel flat screen TVs and tea and coffee making facilities. There is 24 hour room service and a fitness centre. For the less energetic there are bars with real ales or sumptuous lounges for afternoon tea. Car parking is available on-site.
